In this phase, the objectives and goals of the work to be carried out are aligned and we discover, together with the client, the real problem to be worked on. It is during this stage that the scope of work, delivery deadlines, customer expectations, expected results and project potential are defined. Normally, the planning of the new business is directly related to the company’s strategic planning. The research stage is responsible for identifying with the target audience how this new project will be accepted. You need to look at how your audience would interpret the idea if it were released today, and also imagine what the market for this innovation will look like in the near future. The research involves both online actions and fieldwork, with direct contact with typical consumers of your business.

This part is usually the one that occupies the most time in the project schedule, given the fact that this phase is the embryo of the new business that is emerging.

A prototype is the embryo of the new business that is emerging. Once the prototype meets the market requirements it will be improved to become the final product.
